concept, our locations and the booking process.
Questions and answers

You’ll receive a code from us via e-mail with your booking. You can use this to check in on site. Alternatively, we can send you a numerical code via message to your mobile phone. We’ve set up the system on site to guide you every step of the way. Since access occurs via an individually generated code, it’s impossible for you to get locked out or lose the key.
Your room is available to you from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival – your code is valid from then on and you can enter the room with it. The same goes for the departure: your code is valid until 11 a.m. on the day of departure. If you check out earlier, you can easily indicate this in the system.
If something doesn’t work, just give us a call and we’ll help you straight away. (24 hours a day, 7 days a week.)

Our reception is digital, therefore you can reach us digitally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since everything takes place virtually with us, entering the building and your room with your room code whenever you want is straightforward.

We can sort that out too! There’s a terminal you can use to contact us in the foyer of every TIN INN. We will be happy to give you the numerical code you use to get into your room again.

Get in touch with us – we’ll be happy to send you your forgotten items for a flat rate by post at your own expense.

Online! And right here on our website.

When booking online, you can book several rooms for various people at once. Contact us via e-mail at kontakt@tin-inn.com if you’d like to make a special booking.

Of course, the security of your data is very important to us; it meets the highest standard. We have a secure HTTPS server; all booking information such as your credit card details or personal data is SSL-encrypted and processed in a secure environment.

Single rooms are available from 60 € per night. With us, you pay per room, not per head! Because an excellent price-performance ratio is really important to us – your stay with us always happens in a price-conscious way. Anyone who has been here before knows that TIN INN is worth the price.
When do you plan on coming? You can find all prices and locations here.

At TIN INN, you always book a room – we don’t calculate per head. It doesn’t cost extra if children sleep in the bed.
Let us know if you need a cot when booking. There’s space for it in our large double rooms. Please note: we don’t have rollaway beds.

Great idea; we’re working on that. We’re up for developing a bonus system for our guests who keep coming back or want to stay longer than just a few days. Are you planning a longer stay? We would be happy to negotiate a price with you – just talk to us!

With anything but cash. All the usual payment methods are possible with us, from PayPal to credit card to instant payment – simply select it when booking online.

When do I pay for my stay? Payment is made at the time of booking. As soon as the payment has been received – depending on the payment method you chose – you get a code for your stay with us.

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 4 p.m. on the day of your arrival and get the amount back.

It’s best to speak to us in person. We would be happy to modify your booking. This is how you can reach us:

We’re Germany’s first container hotel! We’ve created a travel experience for our guests that revolves around having fun: an uncomplicated arrival and departure, sleeping soundly, feeling good all round. We focus on the essentials, therefore all our processes are fully digital. Without sacrificing service – you can reach us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The issue of sustainability is also very important to us. Every TIN INN is geared towards sustainability from head to toe. From the conscious selection of materials and the use of renewable energies to the careful treatment of all resources in daily life.

All rooms are built from decommissioned containers that have already sailed the oceans. In exclusive cooperation with the specialists from Containerwerk, the former shipping containers are refurbished using cutting-edge technology and a lot of attention to detail and converted into beautiful, cosy hotel rooms.

Because we think it’s sustainable and perceive this upcycling concept as a chance to improve our ecological footprint. Instead of landing in the scrap baling press, the containers find a new, long-term purpose.

Actually like living in a conventional building. But it’s more fun! Incidentally, there’s always an optimal climate in the rooms – no matter whether it’s summer or winter. We rely on the most advanced insulation and state-of-the-art climate ceilings. Our controlled living space ventilation ensures consistently good air quality. And that’s in every room. We made a conscious decision not to use centralised ventilation to protect your health. We focus on healthy, sustainable materials for the interior design, too – so that you immediately feel good.

Not only in construction and interior design do we use recycled and renewable raw materials, but also in day-to-day operations. Since we employ used shipping containers, the energy consumption in the manufacture of our buildings is significantly reduced in comparison to conventional construction methods. When the modules are positioned on site and everything comes together, the strain on the environment is much less due to the high degree of prefabrication. Not only in terms of the ground, but also dirt, noise and construction waste are reduced to a minimum. We build within a much shorter space of time than usual – that keeps the neighbours happy as well.
We are continuously working to further reduce the carbon footprint of hotel accommodation. You can also help – you can decide for yourself how often we clean your room.

In the meantime, the container doors of our first TIN INN Hotel in Erkelenz as well as in Montabaur are open.

Soon we will have locations in Heinsberg and Hückelhoven. More are in the
pipeline – coming soon: Moers, Bergkamen-Rünthe, Troisdorf, Alsdorf, Goch, Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen, Düren, Meckenheim and Nettetal-Lobberich.

Each of our hotels has its own car park; some of them even have charging stations for electric cars. Our car parks are free of charge for you.

That’s not necessary. Each TIN INN has its own car park, which you can use free of charge.

We’ve reduced our hotels to the essentials, so we unfortunately cannot offer you the option of storing your luggage once you’ve already checked out.

Simply good is our motto. Hence we don’t have any catering at our hotels. We cooperate with local partners and can gladly give you tips on where to find good food locally. You can also grab local snacks and drinks from the 24-hour vending machine in the foyer at any time.

We have three room types: 10–12 sq m single rooms with a comfortable box spring bed measuring 120 x 210 cm on the ground floor and 24 sq m double rooms with extra-large late riser beds (210 x 210 cm) on the upper floors. There’s a 90 x 210 cm bed in each of our accessible rooms at ground level.
All rooms have a climate ceiling and autonomous living space ventilation, a bathroom with a toilet, shower & hairdryer, and are equipped with a fridge & coffee machine (we take care of the initial filling), smart TV, hypoallergenic pillows & duvets, wardrobe & mirror and safe. In addition, there’s a table with one or two chairs in the large rooms.

Yes! All our rooms are equipped with the most modern climate ceilings. We chose air conditioning via the ceiling, so we can guarantee a pleasant room climate at all times and simultaneously do something for the environment. Controlled living space ventilation ensures consistently good air quality. Not centrally but autonomously in each individual room.

Yes, all TIN INN bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.

A good night’s sleep is very close to our heart! All our rooms have XXL late riser beds with a box spring construction – look forward to plenty of room for your feet and your head. Beds in the single rooms measure 120 x 210 cm; 210 x 210 cm in the double rooms and 90 x 210 cm in the accessible rooms.

We’ve equipped every room with a fridge, in which you’ll find drinks and snacks. The first round’s on us – a little welcome package awaits you when you arrive. You can also grab local snacks and drinks from the 24-hour vending machine in the foyer at any time.

Yes! All rooms are equipped with a smart TV. You can watch free TV channels on it, and additionally have the possibility to use your favourite streaming services on the TV. The system supports over 2,000 services; all you need to connect is your smartphone or tablet.

Every TIN INN has a certain number of accessible rooms on the ground floor. Please indicate when booking if you would like to reserve one of the rooms.

Dogs are great! But sometimes they also have dirty paws, shed, or like to bark. To ensure that all guests feel comfortable, we’re currently working on a solution so that our four-legged friends can also visit us. Currently, it’s not yet possible to bring dogs, cats and other pets with you.

Certainly – it’s stable and free of charge for you. You’ll receive the Wi-Fi password with the booking. We equip each room with its own access point so that this works seamlessly. So, you’ll always have an excellent connection, even at locations that are a little further out.

All our hotels are non-smoking hotels. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms and throughout the building.

You will always find a freshly cleaned room when you arrive. Our contribution to the environment: we have decided to let our guests decide for themselves how often their rooms should be cleaned. Do you need cleaning? You can easily arrange this free of charge via the QR code, which you’ll find in the room.
Why do we do this? Not cleaning everything completely every day consumes less water and energy. It’s the small steps that count, right?!

To make your stay with us as safe as possible, we have taken some precautions. Basically, most of our work is contactless – with us, you book and pay online and check yourself in with a code on site.
Each of our rooms has its own controlled living space ventilation, which ensures consistently good air quality. We made a conscious decision not to use centralised ventilation to protect your health. We also have no lounge or reception – this minimises the risk of infection. Our cleaning staff also make sure that there’s as little contact as possible.
