You will receive an e-mail from us with your booking. There you will be asked to check in online. Once you have completed this and paid for your booking, we can send you your room code at midday on the day of arrival. Also by e-mail and SMS. We have set up the system so that you are guided every step of the way. As access is via a personalised code, it is impossible to lock yourself out or lose your key.
On the day of arrival, your room is available from 3 pm – your code is valid from then on and you can use it to access your room. Same game on departure: Your code is valid until 11 a.m. on the day of departure. To check out, you don’t have to do anything except switch off the light and set your door slider on the outside of the room to green so that housekeeping knows.
If something doesn’t work, just give us a call and we’ll help you straight away. (24 hours a day, 7 days a week.)
We don’t have a reception in the traditional sense. But we are available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As everything is virtual with us, you will be sent your room code by email and text message at midday on the day of arrival.
You can reach our team around the clock:

For less urgent matters, simply send us an email to kontakt@tin-inn.com
You can check in with your code from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. But you can also come late at night without further arrangement – no problem at all. 🙂
You have until 11 a.m. on the day of your departure to check out.
Feel free to send us a message or call us and we will try to fulfil your wishes.
You can contact us at any time by e-mail or telephone – we will be happy to help.
E-mail us: kontakt@tin-inn.com
We can sort that out too! There’s a terminal you can use to contact us in the foyer of every TIN INN. We will be happy to give you the numerical code you use to get into your room again.
Get in touch with us – we will be happy to send you your forgotten items by post.
Online! And right here on our website.
When booking online, you can book several rooms for various people at once. Contact us via e-mail at kontakt@tin-inn.com if you’d like to make a special booking.
Of course, the security of your data is very important to us; it meets the highest standard. We have a secure HTTPS server; all booking information such as your credit card details or personal data is SSL-encrypted and processed in a secure environment.
Single rooms are available from 60 € per night. With us, you pay per room, not per head! Anyone who has been here before knows that TIN INN is worth the price.
At TIN INN, you always book a room – we don’t calculate per head. It doesn’t cost extra if children sleep in the bed. We cannot provide you with extra beds or similar, but there is enough space in the comfort rooms for you to bring your own travel cot. Watch out: Our TIN INNs do not have a lift. The comfort rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Are you planning a longer stay? We would be happy to negotiate a price with you – just talk to us! Contact us: kontakt@tin-inn.com
With anything but cash. All the usual payment methods are possible with us, from PayPal to credit card to instant payment – simply select it when booking online.
When do I pay for my stay? As we are 100% digital and do not have a reception on site, the transfer must be made BEFORE your arrival, otherwise our system will not be able to assign you a room code on the day of arrival.
You can cancel your booking free of charge until 6 pm on the day of your arrival and receive a full refund.
It’s best to speak to us in person. We would be happy to modify your booking. This is how you can reach us:

We are the first hotel chain made from overseas containers in Germany! We’ve created a travel experience for our guests that revolves around having fun: an uncomplicated arrival and departure, sleeping soundly, feeling good all round. We focus on the essentials, therefore all our processes are fully digital. Without compromising on service – you can reach us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Sustainability is also very important to us. Every TIN INN is geared towards sustainability from head to toe. From the conscious selection of materials and the use of renewable energies to the careful treatment of all resources in daily life.
All the rooms are built from discarded shipping containers that have travelled the world’s oceans. In exclusive collaboration with the specialists from Containerwerk, the former globetrotters are refurbished with cutting-edge technology and a great deal of attention to detail and converted into beautiful, cosy hotel rooms.
Because we think it’s sustainable and perceive this upcycling concept as a chance to improve our ecological footprint. Instead of landing in the scrap baling press, the containers find a new, long-term purpose.
Actually like living in a conventional building. But it’s more fun! The rooms have an optimal indoor climate. We rely on the most advanced insulation and state-of-the-art climate ceilings. Our controlled living space ventilation ensures consistently good air quality. And that’s in every room. We made a conscious decision not to use centralised ventilation to protect your health. We focus on healthy, sustainable materials for the interior design, too – so that you immediately feel good.
Not only in construction and interior design do we use recycled and renewable raw materials, but also in day-to-day operations. Since we employ used shipping containers, the energy consumption in the manufacture of our buildings is significantly reduced in comparison to conventional construction methods. When the modules are positioned on site and everything comes together, the strain on the environment is much less due to the high degree of prefabrication. Not only in terms of the ground, but also dirt, noise and construction waste are reduced to a minimum. We build within a much shorter space of time than usual – that keeps the neighbours happy as well. We are continuously working to further reduce the carbon footprint of hotel accommodation. You can also help – you can decide for yourself how often we clean your room.
The container doors in Erkelenz, Montabaur & Hückelhoven are now open for you.
We will soon have locations in Heinsberg and Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen. More are in the
pipeline!
Each of our hotels has its own free car park directly on the hotel grounds.
That’s not necessary. Each TIN INN has its own car park, which you can use free of charge.
We’ve reduced our hotels to the essentials, so we unfortunately cannot offer you the option of storing your luggage once you’ve already checked out.
Simply good is our motto. Hence we don’t have any catering at our hotels. We cooperate with local partners and can gladly give you tips on where to find good food locally.
There are single and double rooms. All rooms are equipped with Boxyspring beds. The double rooms are 24 square metres and the single rooms are 12 square metres. All rooms have an air-conditioned ceiling and self-sufficient living room ventilation, a bathroom with WC, shower & hairdryer and are equipped with a fridge & coffee machine (we take care of refilling), smart TV, anti-allergic pillows & blankets, wardrobe, shower cosmetics and mirror. There is also a table with one or two chairs, which is also suitable for remote working.
Yes, all TIN INN bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer.
A good night’s sleep is very close to our heart! All our rooms have XXL long-sleeper beds with a box-spring structure and topper – look forward to plenty of freedom for your feet and head. The beds in the Standard Plus rooms measure 120 x 210 cm, in the Comfort rooms 210 x 210 cm and in the Standard rooms 90 x 210 cm.
We have equipped each room with a fridge, in which you will find selected drinks and snacks… and a little surprise! 😉
Yes! All rooms are equipped with a smart TV. You can watch free TV channels on it, and additionally have the possibility to use your favourite streaming services on the TV. The system supports over 2,000 services; all you need to connect is your smartphone or tablet.
We are big fans of dogs, but out of consideration for other guests who may be allergic or afraid, it is not possible to allow dogs in our TIN INN hotels. To be fair, we do not make any exceptions for small dogs, cats or other pets.
Certainly – it’s stable and free of charge for you. You’ll receive the Wi-Fi password with the booking. We equip each room with its own access point so that this works seamlessly. So, you’ll always have an excellent connection, even at locations that are a little further out.
All our hotels are non-smoking hotels. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms and throughout the building. If this is violated, we unfortunately have to charge a penalty of 150€.
You will always find a freshly cleaned room when you arrive. Our contribution to the environment: we have decided to let our guests decide for themselves how often their rooms should be cleaned. Do you need cleaning? Then move the slider on the outside of your room door to green before 11 o’clock. Red means “Please skip the room today.”
To make your stay with us as safe as possible, we have taken some precautions. Basically, most of our services are contactless – you book and pay online with us and check in yourself on site with a code.
Each of our rooms has its own controlled ventilation system, which ensures consistently good air quality. We made a conscious decision not to use centralised ventilation to protect your health. We also have no lounge or reception – this minimises the risk of infection. Our cleaning staff also make sure that there’s as little contact as possible.
